Many of you were using the Yahoo group in digest mode, where you’d receive a daily digest of new messages rather than a separate email for each message. In the migration to Discourse, you’ve been switched to mailing list mode, which sends you an email for each new message. Here’s now to enable a digest:
First, click your user icon in the upper-right corner:
From the drop-down menu, click on your username, then on Preferences:
On the left, click on Emails:
Uncheck mailing list mode, and set the summary to whatever frequency you like. Then click Save Changes:
Your user icon, of course, isn’t going to be a big yellow D; it’s rather going to be what shows up next to your username. So you’d start by clicking at the upper right here:
That bring up a drop-down menu that looks like this:
Click on your username on the left side of that menu, and it will look like this:
Choose Preferences from there and you’ll see this:
Thanks for your patience. When click on my username at the upper right, I don’t get the menu you show but rather a different one asking about Google preferences. And when I click on it on the left, I get nothing. So I am still lost.
