Hello, everyone. I’m working on my sermon for this Sunday and am trying to source this quote: “Repentance means unlearning all the self-conceit and self-will that we have been training ourselves into… It means killing part of yourself, undergoing a kind of death.” Can anyone tell me in which of Lewis’ volumes this can be found? Many thanks in advance for your help!
Blessings,

Mere Christianity, p. 39:
" Now repentance is no fun at all. It is something much harder than merely eating humble pie. It means unlearning all the self-conceit and self-will that we have been training ourselves in for thousands of years. It means killing a part of yourself, undergoing a kind of death."
