O thanks! Would you know exactly what the address is for a new message, Lois?
I don’t. I’ve been lost like you and just got on. I only manage to reply. Wish I could help. I’m sure Dan will come to the rescue.
Thank you! Will try that! My emails have been bouncing apparently.
Well, after I attempted to burn our house down by cutting a live lamp cord, God, who is sometimes, maybe often, merciful to the stupid, allowed me to discover one small, unpacked, because hidden carton full of…LEWIS BOOKS! And my loved George Herbert! Just wanted to share this.

DAILY MEDITATION
This day, a sweet clean now,
A present calling us to bow,
The hours ahead concealed;
Still wrapped, not revealed.
Perhaps this date will be
Lost in the march of days,
Or filled with hallelujahs of praise,
Unremarked in the toll of years
Or remembered in silence through tears.
Divided from yesterday by God-given night,
Blessed with restful gray or cheering light,
Filled with the Presence, filled with praise,
Eternity now, in this new day.

This may come twice. the first bounced back, so trying two addresses.
Very nice, Lois! I assume that the poetry is yours, and not Herbert’s ()?
Dimitry
“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Love will last forever.” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8)
Yes, it’s mine…and Lewis is probably in there somewhere.
Herbert’s poem here was such a lovely thing to start the day with, Lois! I think I may print it, so it can be what I see as I begin each day!

Ah Lois, I assumed this was Herbert’s! Apologies; it is so good!

Apologies? My feet won’t touch the ground for at least a week. I am so glad you liked it and share my thinking!
